Oakland Schools deserve a champion for educational excellence, fiscal responsibility and good governance. Oakland Schools have the potential to lead the conversation, championing pioneering initiatives such as our College and Career Pathways and Academies, Academic Academic Achievement programs (including AAMA, AAFA and APISA), and Environmental Education programs at many Oakland Campuses.

As proud graduate of Melrose Leadership Academy and Oakland Technical High School, I understand that the best interests of our students are the same as those of our Parents, Faculty, Staff and Community members. In my time in Oakland, I have represented Oakland Students as the Student Director on OUSD’s LCAP Budget Committee, led the Oakland Youth Vote Initiative as Chair of the Oakland Youth Commission, and written and sponsored state legislation like California’s Student Board Member Bills, Vaccine Awareness Legislation and Ethnic Studies Policies.

As your representative on the school board, I’ll bring my problem-solving engineering skills and passion for our communities to ensure every student receives the best possible education in our schools.
